Ok Blog followers,you heard it first, there 's been some confusion about the up coming tournament in April. It is officially taking place this Sat the 3rd of April not the 10th of  April. It is tee times and the competition will be modified 2 man best ball  - must count 5, gross & net. member tees. So pick your partner so get out and play a great round. The Golf Course  is looking Great. Play Well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome new golf members,snowbirds and all you fair weather golfers, what a glorious day for the start of Wednesday nite golf at Harbour Pointe. It really was great to see so many new and old faces out playing golf again. I want to remind everybody not to wait to last second to make tee Times for next week. The golf shop holds so many tee times for each Wednesday nite and if they're not filled by Monday Afternoon then they start filling the times with Public play. So you've been fore warned, make your Tee Times or risk not getting the time you want!!!!!!!!!!!!. New Blog Slide Show

Well with a little persistence and a slow learning curve on my part, the new Blog slide show is up and running. If you look just to the left of this article, you'll see the on going slide show. The slides are a compilation of pictures taken over the last 4 or 5 months of the various tournaments we've had, going back to the Ryder Cup,  at Alta Lake. You can maneuver the slides by putting the cursor arrow on the pictures that are being shown and then you're able to stop, go back or go forward. You can also click on the picture and the album web page will come up, then you can see the slide show on full screen. While you're at the web page, you can also down load pic, make copies or send them to other people. I'll be posting other albums, probably once a month. So enjoy the memories, and remember this is one of the things that makes golf at Harbour Pointe fun. A special thanks to Walley and Jammie for taking the pictures.

Wednesday Nite Opener

Ok guys, especially those of you who haven't play much if any this winter, the Wed. Nite mens club opener is this Wednesday the 24th, with shot gun start at 12:45. Let's get the sand out of your pockets and dust off the sticks and come out and play!!!!!!!!! This will be a 2 man best ball, with the weather supposedly being bright and Sunny. I played this last weekend and the greens are coming along pretty nicely, after being punched over two weeks ago. So all you fair weather golfers, bring a friend or a quest and have some fun. All quest are eligible to compete for competition money.

The New Season

Welcome to the new season, day lite savings time is now here and we are now posting all scores that you now play , that includes any away games you played during the winter.All mens club tournamets played with yellow score cards will be posted by the handicap committee. All other rounds you play will be posted by you either on line or on the computer at Harbour Pointe golf shop. Remember for your convenience we have all the web links on this blog site for you to use for posting ,just click on the link. You also need to understand that you'll now have a course handicap and tournament handicap, the lower of the two handicaps will be used for mens club tournaments. If playing in a club tournament at Harbour Pointe and have a complaint about your current handicap,don't complain to the golf shop,but rather talk with Walker Martin or Walley Nagel. I'm also posting the current money list.

Tournament Result for Par 3 and Man Golf

Hey guys, thanks for the great support for this new event, Man Golf. Hope it was a good experience, despite what kind of game you had that day.The course set up added a few interesting looks and the weather added in some difficulty so it made for some interesting fun. The added fights made pay outs look a little different. Let us know what you thought of the added flights for future tournaments.

The Par 3 tournament was played a couple weeks ago, I didn't play but I guess it went off ok. Coleman's staff are punching the greens this week, so beware of conditions before playing this week.

Tournament Correction

MY BAD, sorry guys I made an error in the lasting posting ,the tournament for this Sunday the 7th of March, is Man Golf by Tee Times. It will not be 3 net balls of the Five some and it is not Co-ED. The play will be gross score by handicap divisions. Divisions will be decided by the number of players in the tournament. This is a new tournament brought up by the board members. You'll be competing against players in your own handicap level, probably 3 to 5 stokes separating the players in your division. The Weather is predicted to be pretty nice on Sunday and it's the last tournament before they PUNCH the GREENS. So pass the word and lets get everybody out to support this tournament.

Current News at The Club

Good morning guys, today's the 1st of March and spring is officially three weeks away, albeit I think spring has already sprung. Here's what's current at Harbour Pointe, the Par Three tournament this past Friday will be posted on Wednesday of this week. This Sunday the 7th of March there'll be a 9:00 AM shot gun tournament, with CO-Ed teams allow, it will be 3 net balls of 5 some, so lets get out there and play. Coleman's guys have been working hard in getting the course in good shape.They did a lot of mowing last week to shed the fairways of their winter coats. They plan on PUNCHING GREENS on the 8th & 9th of March, so another reason to play on the 7th. The board is asking all members to renew their membership as soon possible. The standard practice in the past is if you're not signed up by the start of  Men's Wed.Nite play you will not be allowed to CASH in WEDNESDAY nite play or WEEKEND TOURNAMENT Play. So lets get signed up.  Wednesday nite play will start on the 24th of March. Our first news letter of the year should be out sometime in the next month with lots of interesting reading.
