Last nite ( Jan 11 ) we held our first board meeting of the year.We elected the new officers for the year. Scott Weaver, President, Don Rashell, Vice President, Secretary, Steve Moreno,Treasure, Mark McCalmon, Handicap Chairman , Walker Martin, along with Wally Nagel,Ray Edwards, Tournament Chairman long with Dan McNeely and Bob Medin as our at large rep.A copy of the minutes will be posted later this week. We covered a wide variety of items, tournament handicap, news letter, possible new tournaments, the blog,( our new informational venue )and new membership.In the coming days and weeks, we'll explore each of these items in depth. We'd like everybody in the club to make an effort to bring in a new member which will help to build tournament participation and enhance tournament pay outs.
This year we'll again be using Ezlinks for posting scores. We want you all to know that a handicap established through EZlink is as good as Ghinn, they have the same value. Your EZlink index will get you into all USGA events, with just a couple exceptions. If you want to play in any WSGA events then you have to $25 to the WSGA to join them and post scores on their web site. WE'll be working very hard with WSGA to get a computer set up at Harbour Pointe so you can post scores there.
