End of Year Events

Well the end of year is about here, we have a tournament coming up Thursday the 31st. The New Years Eve Two Man Best with a 9 AM shotgun start. Let's get out and support this function. We also have the final results of the board elections, with Walker Martin, Steve Marino and Don Rashell being elected to serve for three years. Congratulations. If you still have money on the books, you need to get to the Pro/shop and buy merchandise by this weekend or lose what you have on the books. I'd like to wish all members and Harbour Pointe staff  the Happiest of New Years and best wishes for the coming new decade!!! Hopefully with this new blog and other procedures (i.e. tournament handicap, pace of play clocks), we installed this year, will help 2010 be even more of a success than 2009. Happy New Year

Mystery Ball Tournament and Board Elections

Good morning guys, hopefully you're reading this Blog entry before this Saturdays, 5 man Mystery Ball tournament. I'm hoping this blog site was approved and E-mailed out to all members by now. The tournament will be a shot gun start at 10 am Sat.the 19Th. Lets have a good showing for this tourney, the weather looks to be ok for this time of the year.

Just a reminder, the men's club election for new board members, is currently under way, so please vote while you're at the course. There are four names on this years ballot, three of which will be elected. Winners will be announced during the New Years Eve Tournament. The members on the ballot are Gary Bland, Walker Martain, Steve Marino, and Don ( Big D ) Rashell.

The Classic

This truly was a Classic tournament, played under blue skies, cold weather, and rock hard greens (lol). I'm sure everyone who played, has a story or two to tell, it really was a good day had by one and all.
Those of you who didn't play, the winners of this years Classic Crystal, were Brian Conn and Jimmy McDonald. Congratulations. I think almost half the field cashed, along with all the merchandise that was given away by the proshop. The steak dinner was also very tasty, thanks to Adrian and his staff.
Hopefully everybody is getting this blog now, the proshop was going to E-Mail to all members the address to  this site. Please use it to keep up with what's going on at the club and other info you might need.

I've learned a few more tricks for this site, not bad for a leftty!! I've added links to the blog so you can go from this site to Mens Club web site and also to Harbour Pointe's web site, just click on the link.
 
The up coming events for Dec. will the be Holiday Classic on the 5th, 5 Man Mystery Ball on 20th and to finish the year New Years Eve Best Ball. Lets finish the year out strong as a club and have a good turn out for all of them. The Holiday Classic was at eighty and counting, hope you were there. I hope you all have a great Holiday season.

Well guys, here's the latest attempt at getting the most current news from the pro/shop and men's club. I'll try to keep up with current news about up and coming tournaments and what's happening each week. I'm pretty raw at this so bare with me for awhile until I get comfortable with the blog. If it's not to tedious, we may post results here instead of the web site. There's still some tweaking to do with the blog lay out, but at least we're up and running.
