Wed nite Play

Ok all you legend golfers and you know who you are,it's time to pony up. We as a board and club, created the legend division so we could compete on a level playing field, so you don't have to give up any handicap strokes by playing in this division ( 60ty and older, white tees.)There'll be plenty of competition money in this division if all eligible players sign up to play, and we're all playing for the same side games. Lets have a great turnout for this division Wed nite.

Also the Master's Tournament starts this Wed nite.So please sign up to play. You need to play in four of six weeks, with best four weeks counting.Check the Wed nite schedule in your information packet. All comp fees taken in will be paid out. This is a points scoring tourney. Full handicap.

Thanks

Opening Wed Nite

Hi golfers, Opening Wed nite is upon us. The golf shop would like you to be there early so everybody can get checked in a reasonable time. The Men's Club will have a table set up so you can check in for your Tee Prize, Information Pack, Score Card and the 50/50 pot. Please take a minute or two to look at the information pack. It'll have the Prez. message, a question, answer page. The Club competition rules. Local ground rules and Playing Schedules for Wed nites and regular season play. All of this information will help you plan your coming year of golf at Harbour Pointe and any competition questions you might have.
The Golf Shop is taking sign ups for this years Masters Tourney. The weeks of the tournament will be listed in yellow on the Wed Nite Schedule. There'll be two divisions like last year, (Green and White tees) with net and gross points in each Division. Tournament Handicaps without loss of strokes in either Division. You can pick the best 4 out of 6 weeks. This will be a points scoring, per round. Competition will be $40.00 per player, with all money being paid back to the field. This will be played concurrently on Wed Nites. Hope to see you this Wed.

FYI Opening Nite

Good Sunday Morning to you all, It's been awhile since my last posting, but alas a new computer tower  has finally made me relevant again. There's a few things you need to know or read about. First, opening Wed Nite is about here, Wed the 25 th of March. The golf shop would appreciate if you all could have your annual men's  club dues paid before then, it will greatly help them out and speed up sign in Wed Nite. Note; you will not be able to keep any comp. winnings if you're not signed up by that Wed Nite.
This will be the start of the new two division play for competition, the Open Division (green tees) and Legends Division (white tees). If you're 59 or younger, you will play in the Open Division with regular Handicap. If you're 60ty and older  you have options to play in the open div. w/o loss of Handicap strokes or play in the open Div. from the white tees less two strokes from your handicap, and finally, you can play in the legends div. (white tees), without loss of strokes. All golfers who are 60ty and older, can play in the Legends Div. with out loss of Handicap strokes, but competition will strictly be in that division. You'll be playing for your own competition fees. Both divisions will compete for the same side games,
As you may have already read in the news letter, Ron Monaco, our current editor is resigning. He's done a great job for Men's Club in putting this news letter out 3 or 4 times a year. The Club thanks you for your hard work. That being said, we are in great need of finding a club member who would like to take this task on, the Board would greatly appreciate the help. Ron said he would be willing to help the next editor to put out the next letter or two. We really need someone's help here, so if you would like to do this, please contact one of the board members, the golf shop, or e-mail me drashell@msn.com
Finally, Spanky's Draw will be next Friday the 20th. Tee times starting at 11:00 am, and then the Pro Am lottery for the coming season, for Caleb,Dave,Drew, and Keith, after golf that evening. Call the golf shop to sign up. Thanks for your time, hope to see you all soon   Big D
